Podcast Refinement Review

Did last month's fix actually land?
We read one episode and your analytics.
Then turn it all into actionable steps.

Why monthly

One review sets the direction. A monthly one keeps you on it.

An audit gives you real fixes. What one review can't tell you is whether the fix landed, what it moved in the numbers, or what comes next. Development is a loop: feedback, applied, then read again against what you changed.

The team carries your show from month to month. We know what we told you last time, whether it landed, and what's next.

What you get

Every month: a written Insight Engine report, an analytics read, and a call with Kurtis.

  • One episode reviewed by the team, plus up to three clips, three pieces of copy, and three graphics from it
  • What's working, where the episode loses strength, host development notes, and content opportunities
  • A deep analytics read across Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, alongside the episode
  • Month-to-month trends: your numbers, your hosting, and the show, turned into next steps
  • Your priorities for the month: the ones that matter now, not a list of twenty
  • A 45-minute call with Kurtis to walk it through and agree the next steps

Who it's for

  1. Hosts who found the Podcast Insight Audit useful and want that read built into the show every month.
  2. Hosts who handle their own production but want an expert layer on top of it.
  3. Hosts who are committed to the show getting better, and want someone tracking whether it is.

You need to be publishing weekly. That's the minimum we work with.

How it runs

  1. Discovery call.

We look at the show, confirm it's a fit, and agree your start month.

  2. Set up analytics.

Viewer access to Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, or screenshots each month. We never ask for your password.

  3. Send your episode.

Episode and assets through our submission form, by the end of the previous month.

  4. Get your report.

Your written report and analytics read, by the 10th.

  5. Walk it through.

45 minutes with Kurtis. You leave with what you're working on this month.

  6. Get your summary.

A short post-call summary with your priorities. Then the cycle starts again.

This is a review layer. We tell you what to change and why. Want us to carry the production too? Ask on the call.

Questions

Everything worth knowing

The questions worth asking before you start.

Before you start
How is this different from the $250 audit?

The audit is one episode, once. A snapshot of where the show is. The Refinement Review is one episode every month, plus the analytics trend over time. We carry the show's context forward, so the second month already knows what the first month found. The feedback compounds instead of resetting.

What is the Insight Engine?

It's where real listening meets real data. Every episode is reviewed in detail by our team, each through their own lens: as a listener, a producer, a content creator, a copywriter, and a designer. We combine those reviews with your analytics across Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, then run it all through the experience of the three people at the core of Podcraft Alchemy. What comes out is one report of actionable steps. Month after month, it tracks the patterns: what keeps working, and what keeps costing you.

I already have a production team. Does this still work?

Yes. We work alongside your team as an extra pair of eyes, an extra pair of ears, and another brain on the show. The report is written to be handed on, so your editors, copywriters, and designers know exactly what to work on next.

Which episode gets reviewed each month?

The first episode of the month, so we can read its full 30 days of analytics. One episode per month, hard capped.

Do you need access to my accounts?

There are two ways to do this. You can give us viewer access to your analytics on Apple Podcasts Connect, Spotify for Creators, and YouTube Studio, granted through each platform's own invite. Or you can send screenshots each month. Either works. We never ask for your password.

Does this include editing or production?

No. This is a review, not production. Editing, publishing, show notes, clips, graphics, and thumbnails are not included. If you want Podcraft producing the show as well, that's a different conversation.

Can I do a one-off audit first?

Yes, and many hosts do. The Podcast Insight Audit ($250) is a single review of one episode and the content built around it. If it's useful, the Refinement Review is the natural next step. You can also start here directly.

How do I cancel?

After the three-month minimum, reply to any email, or write to kurtis@podcraftalchemy.com, with 30 days notice. We'll confirm your final review month and wrap things up properly. If you ever want to come back, or do a one-off audit instead, the door stays open.

It starts with a discovery call. We look at the show, confirm it's a fit, and agree your start month.
